Dingle Peninsula 04/24/2016
No trip would be complete to Ireland without a trip to the Dingle Peninsula. We did that today. While yesterday's journey was very enjoyable around the Ring of Kerry, I have to say that today was special. The scenery , to say the least, was very dramatic. The photographs do not do it justice. I won't write a whole lot, I will just post pictures. Linda and Amanda shopped in Dingle and we had lunch at Murphy's Pub. Another good lunch and then we started the tour. We saw several ancient sites. There was an ancient fort and a "beehive" hut that were centuries old. They had great views back then, but I don't think they thought much of it. Everything was made of rocks. Fences were rock, houses were rock, walls were rock. They must have started moving rock in the morning and quit at night when they went to bed. They probably dreamed of moving rocks. I don't believe that I would have fit in with that society. I saw no place for a helicopter pilot.
