NYC city is fast approaching. We have to pack and get ready to disembark. By Jean: The cruise has been a lot of fun. Open invitation for ECHS Alumni and friends to join us in 2012. As you read this, we are in the middle of the Atlantic, enroute to NYC. The cruise is approaching a conclusion. Choppy ride, waves are about 7 feet. Looks like a bunch of innebriated passengers on board. Halifax is pubs, Peggy's Cove, Molson Beer, light houses and more lobster. The weather has been great. I'm trying to keep this to a minimum, but my harem keeps insisting I type. Where was my harem in high school? There will be one more blog.....

The ship docked in Saint John on a windy, cold, sunny day. temperatures were cool. A pretty little coastal town. Activities included shopping, dining , sightseeing, museums and did I say, shopping. Everyone scattered and toured the area. One of the trips was to see the "reverse falls". Linda and I went to a museum and saw a film about the tide, migratory birds and the mud flats. I was on the edge of my seat. After departing for Halifax, we all enjoyed another great lobster dinner with champagne I had won in a quick draw shoot out with about 75-100 people the night before. I had a fan gallery that urged me on to victory. All I could hear was "go Alabama, go Auburn, he's going to win, he's a State Trooper. So that's how we got the champagne. After dinner we went to a comedy show to listen to Phil Tag and then on to the Classic Rock hour with dancing to old rock and roll songs. (See previous post) Another great day.

By Ellen: What a quaint and picturesque town! Just in time for the changing of the leaves. Awesome colors of red, orange and yellow! The Oli Trolley tour to Cadillac Mountain was very informative and cold! Weather is perfect, as sun is shinning, but a very cold 45 degrees, too cold for this Southern gal! When I think I can't laugh any more...someone will come out with the funnies....we are having one of the best times on this cruise. PS Jerry Hankins you are personally invited to come on the next trip! By Nelda: This is a wonderful trip ...just wish Terry and I had join the group on the last year's cruise! What a fun bunch of classmates even 40 plus years later. By Sybil: Wonderful experience to be with old friends, wish more of you would have joined us and hopefully you will on our next adventure. By Jerry: My computer has been hijacked. I've got it back now. I know you want to hear about Bar Harbor. It was everything Ellen said and more.

Boston, the home of lobster, clam chowder, boston cream pie and Fenway Park ( a friend of mine told me they were going to tear down Fenway 10 years ago) It's still standing. Cheers, Paul Revere, the Constitution and Faneuil Hall. Every one enjoyed their trip to Boston. Music and shows onboard are good. Photos are the entire group with family and friends and the smaller group picture is class members. ECHS Alumni are represented by Classes '66, '70, '78 and '80.\Off to Bar Harbor, we are so busy, hard to find time to write.

We sailed into Newport this am. Weather was gorgeous and food was great. We arrived right in the middle of a seafood festival. Lobster, Crabs, Shrimp, Quahogs and m,uch more. One more lobster roll and I'll just bust. Donna and Al toured the harbor and island. Jean, Jamie, Liz and Joyce toured the homes of the rich and famous, while Linda, Ellen, Nelda, Sybil and I looked for restaurants. All in all, a good day and the adventure continues. As this is written we are sailing out of the harbor into a glorious sunset on our way to Boston, where I am sure a lobster awaits. Also we are celebrating the recent Auburn victory over Arkansas. (my computer, my blog). Alabama won also.

Today was moving day. Everyone made their way to NYC, Liz and Joyce got in Friday night and Donna and Al got in Saturday morning. We all made our way to pier 12, Brooklyn and boarded the Caribbean Princess for our embarkation. Every one met in the Wheelhouse for a get-to-gether before sailing. During the meeting I was appointed President of the cruise committee. The trip got off to a great start, Auburn won, Alabama won and the company is good. I was impeached once and then reinstated. Lonely at the top. Tomorrow we will be in Newport, RI.
