We have arrived. We will spend the next week exploring Tuscany, sampling cheese, wines, breads and assorted meats. Any thoughts of a diet are put away until after this trip is concluded.
We did find out where Lava soap, with pumice came from. Our accommodations are in an apartment in a 1300 year old Castle Tower in Montefollonico, Italy. This was also a monastery in days gone by. The former residents used to make the red cloth used by the Popes. Right smack in the middle of Tuscany. We picked up a rental car in Orvieto today we had an uneventful trip here. Our GPS was instrumental in directing us here. In for the evening...exploring starts tomorrow....
