Lunch in the Ruins...

After viewing the ruins for several hours, it was time to have lunch.  We all had pasta in a restaurant located at the ruins....very good.  By the way, after we finished at the Colosseum, we decided to go back to the hotel and made plans to go back to the Spanish Steps for dinner.  After waiting for around an hour for our city bus, it finally showed up.  When we got back to the hotel, I inquired as to which bus we need to take to get to the Steps.  We were informed that the drivers were on strike and we probaly got the last bus today.

 It has been a good education in city travel. We have traveled by bus, train and subway.  We will leave Rome in the morning and travel to Tuscany.  We will take the train to Orvieto and pick up a rental car at the RR station.  I will check in when we get to our Villa.

As was stated earlier, our plans were changed but we still had a great day. The clouds stated and a little light rain fell from the heavens.  Since the top of Germany wasn't happening for us today, our tour guides Jerry & Linda (my brother & sister-in-law) developed a change in plans.  They took us to Schloss Neuschwanstein (Cinderella Castle) for Pat and me to tour.
