Eating our way through Tuscany.....
We have been exploring all day. We spent the day in a 12th century village, with origins dating back to the Etruscan Period. We made a lot of pictures, but unfortunately the Internet is so weak, I can't upload them. The name of the place is Montepulciano. Really neat. We had lunch with a group of Italians at the Osteria dell'Aquacheta, an Italian Steak House. Cathy made friends with one of the customers and he spent a lot of time suggesting where to go and what to see. He said the Italians are very nice people, but when they got behind the wheel of an automobile they were crazy. So please be careful.
Tomorrow we are going to San Gimignano. One of the best preserved medieval villages in Europe. While there we shall have Gelato at a restaurant that is run by a member of the Italian team that won the World Cup in Gelato making. Very exciting day in store for us.
