Linda and I checked out of Mildenhall and took the train back to London, then took the Great Western Railway to the western UK, on our way to Cardiff. While in London a Brit asked me about the 4th of July. I asked him if they celebrated it over here and he said it was just another work day. We traveled about 4 hours by train, at speeds up to 118mph. Speedometer posted speeds for passengers. A very pleasant journey. We made our stop in Cardiff and checked into the Angel Hotel. It is located across the street from the Cardiff Castle, a former Roman fort, a former Norman Castle. A former castle for whoever was calling the shots. We were excited about exploring Cardiff, enjoying the Welsh culture and tasting their cuisine.
As was stated earlier, our plans were changed but we still had a great day. The clouds stated and a little light rain fell from the heavens. Since the top of Germany wasn't happening for us today, our tour guides Jerry & Linda (my brother & sister-in-law) developed a change in plans. They took us to Schloss Neuschwanstein (Cinderella Castle) for Pat and me to tour. Jerry & Linda had already did the tour so they visited one of the local villages. Here are some pictures at the castle. Our ride to the Castle from the parking area. Pat in the Castle Larry in the Castle Ride back from the Castle No Riders Cinderella Castle Castle from a distance
