We are enjoying our visit to Wales.  It is one of those unexpected pleasant surprises.  The people are very friendly, the accommodations are great and the food is very good.  Last night I had a meal of Steak and Braines ale Pie.  Linda had Chicken and Leek Pie. They reminded me somewhat of the beef pot pies and the chicken pot pies I used to eat before I got married.  I just did not know I was eating Celtic food 40 years ago.

Today we toured the castle, the city,  the waterfront, and the Market.  We had a very good Welsh breakfast at the hotel.  Eggs are eggs, but I did not eat the baked beans for breakfast.  For lunch, Linda had potato and leek soup and I had Cawl (a lamb stew).  Tonight   we had a full Welsh dinner.  Lamb koftas, Beef Pie, Welsh Rarebit,  Calamari, Sausage & Yorkshire pudding along with fajita spiced chicken wings.  No dessert. I have immersed my self in the Celtic culture.
