I titled this blog as a trip to Alaska, however, as the trip progresses I think a more appropriate title would be "Two Americans Journey through North America" Just a thought. We had a good day today, travelled through Tennessee, Kentucky and Illinois. We found the "National Quilt Museum" located in Paducah, Ky and the home of Superman located in Metropolis, IL.
We stopped for lunch in Illinois at a park located at the site of an old French fort, Fort Massac, located on the banks of the Ohio River. We had bought some hamburger meat and I grilled hamburgers. I know this is of little interest to you suffering a heat wave in Alabama, but the weather was beautiful, 85 degrees and low humidity.
Bear report...None spotted...We did see some buffalo in southern Illinois. Mother, wish you were here. You would enjoy this trip. Tomorrow we will travel through Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota and South Dakota, destination Mitchell, S.D.

A Day in Germany Continues Part II

As was stated earlier, our plans were changed but we still had a great day. The clouds stated and a little light rain fell from the heavens.  Since the top of Germany wasn't happening for us today, our tour guides Jerry & Linda (my brother & sister-in-law) developed a change in plans.  They took us to Schloss Neuschwanstein (Cinderella Castle) for Pat and me to tour.
