DAY 12, Fairbanks 07/22/2010








Today we spent exploring Fairbanks. I took the Tahoe and had it serviced for our return trip. We went out to Fort Wainwright to use the laundry and refuel. It feels good to be away from $4.40 gas for a while.

Fairbanks is the 2nd most populated city in Alaska and home of the Northern Lights. We had supper at a very good restaurant, Gambarellas. If you are in Fairbanks, eat there. There is not a lot to say tonight. Low stress day. Just relaxed and enjoyed the city. Tomorrow we go to Denali, Talkeetna, Wasillsa and Anchorage.

We've been fortunate to see most of the animals we want to see. Still looking for a grizzly.

We did go to North Pole, AK.

A Day in Germany Continues Part II

As was stated earlier, our plans were changed but we still had a great day. The clouds stated and a little light rain fell from the heavens.  Since the top of Germany wasn't happening for us today, our tour guides Jerry & Linda (my brother & sister-in-law) developed a change in plans.  They took us to Schloss Neuschwanstein (Cinderella Castle) for Pat and me to tour.
